Established in 1987 by Lee Clarke, Countrywide has been providing both domestic and commercial customers with high quality flooring installations from their base in Bournemouth, Dorset, for more than 25 years.

Having started working as an apprentice with a flooring company at the tender age of 16, Lee quickly learned all about traditional flooring methods and was part of a team that fitted flooring aboard the QE2 and in hotels like the Sandbanks and Chine.

After spending five years as a sole trader, Lee decided to capitalise on the high level of recommendations for quality workmanship that he had received and establish his own company. Countrywide was born, and quickly expanded from the local region of Bournemouth, to cover the whole of the south of England and beyond.

Having worked in the industry for more than 25 years, we have built up strong relationships with suppliers and clients and we have approved installer status with many leading manufacturers, including Amtico and Karndean.

We are also members of numerous trade associations, including Safe Contractor and regularly attend training seminars to improve our already impressive knowledge of both flooring and health and safety. Testament to this was our completion of the challenging Achilles accreditation scheme.

Although based in Bournemouth & Portsmouth, we work nationwide and even venture into Europe for occasional large projects. To ensure every customer’s absolute satisfaction, Lee remains a hands-on director and is intimately involved in every project. This ensures that everything is delivered just the way he intended.
